This scholarship will be awarded to a Tennessee high school student pursuing a major in the College of Engineering. Academic Service Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to students who have a minimum 3.0 and a record of service to their school and/or community. This scholarship also requires the recipient to work a total of 125 hours per semester at the University. A letter of interest, along with information regarding your service commitments and three recommendations, is required. These items are all addressed in the online scholarship application. Andrew D. Holt UT Alumni Association Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to one (1) incoming first-time freshman student with a minimum GPA of 3.50. It is based on academic merit and leadership qualities. Full-time enrollment is required.

This scholarship will be awarded to students with a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 and 3.0 in their major and demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to students who are juniors, seniors, or graduate students majoring in English. Asa Van Frazier Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student who has a minimum GPA of 3.0 and who demonstrates financial need. Preference will be given to a member of any African Methodist Episcopal denomination church. The next preference would go to individuals who are pursuing careers in teaching. A student awarded this scholarship in previous years shall have a preference in the selection procedures in subsequent years.

This scholarship will be awarded to outstanding and deserving undergraduate students majoring in Creative Writing, English, Music, Art, or Theatre. This scholarship will be awarded to a UTC Student who has demonstrated financial need, resides in the Chattanooga area, and has a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Barbara and Robert Oldham Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full time student who has a minimum GPA of 3.0 and who demonstrates financial need in the broadest sense. First preference is given to students who are single parents.
Barnes & Noble
3.0 gpa; 30 UTC hours; need; $1000 max for the year, split equally. This scholarship is non-renewable.
Ben P. Shields Sr. Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who resides in either Catoosa or Walker County, Georgia. Financial need and academic performance may be considered.

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Community Trust Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student who is majoring in business with a preference towards those concentrating in insurance.
Brainerd Kiwanis Club Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to full-time students of UTC. Preference is given to members of Circle K or Key Club at UTC, Tyner High School, or Hickory Valley High School. Members of the above organizations may also be considered with preference given to Chattanooga area students. Third preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate a history of community service to children. Applicants and continuing recipients must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The student who receives this award is invited to attend at least one Brainerd Kiwanis Club meeting and to participate in a club activity during the year. A student could be eligible to receive the scholarship for up to four (4) consecutive years at UTC.
Brown Stove Works, Inc., Free Enterprise Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Recipients of this scholarship must have declared a major in either the College of Engineering or the School of Business. First preference is given to lineal descendants of current employees with two years of service or a former employee with 25 years of service with Brown Stove Works, Inc. A letter from Brown Stove Works, Inc., is required. Next preference is given to a Cleveland State Community College student desiring to transfer to UTC who is already on a scholarship provided by Brown Stove Works, Inc., provided the transfer student has a 3.0 GPA. The third preference goes to any student transferring from Cleveland State Community College with a 3.0 GPA. The final preference goes to any resident first of Bradley and then Meigs, Polk, or McMinn counties of Tennessee. A student awarded this scholarship in previous years shall have a preference in the selection procedures in subsequent years and the student maintains a 2.75 GPA.
Physical Therapy
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who is pursuing a doctorate in Physical Therapy. Preference will be given to those entering their first semester and those who are first generation college graduates. This scholarship requires a separate application. Buster Brown Apparel Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and who demonstrates financial need. A student who held this award in previous years shall reapply in subsequent years to be considered for the continuation of the award.

This scholarship will be awarded to graduate students enrolled at UTC in a nurse practitioner or nursing informatics concentration. An eligible student will have completed nine full time hours in the graduate program and currently be enrolled in the second nine. This scholarship requires a separate application. This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student who has a minimum GPA of 3.0 and who demonstrates financial need.
C. Gibbs and Linda W. Smith Business Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in business who has a minimum GPA of 3.0 and who demonstrates financial need. First preference is given to students from the Nashville, Tennessee area. Second preference will be given to students from the Chattanooga area, preferably those students who are graduates from the McCallie School. A student who held this award in a previous year shall have preference in the selection procedures in subsequent years.
Military Science
This scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student with an interest in military service. The student awarded will have demonstrated initiative and leadership capacities through his or her participation and achievements in campus and civic activities, completed their freshman year, but not yet started their sophomore year. They must possess a cumulative GPA of 2.5, and rank in the upper 20 percent of his ROTC class. This scholarship requires a separate application. This scholarship is available to Southeast school districts with difficulties finding the financial means for sending participants, or interns, to the Institute of the Southeast Center for Education in the Arts at UTC. Carolyn Thompson Spirit Award
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who is engaged in University & community activities and has demonstrated exceptional volunteer service & leadership skills. The selected student must be a member of the Chancellor's Ambassadors, the Student Foundation, the Student Government Association, or the Student Alumni Council while maintaining at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA. The student must demonstrate financial need.
Catherman Scholarship
The scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student who has a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and demonstrates financial need. First preference will be given to students who graduated from a Sevier County, Tennessee high school. Next preference will be given to high school graduates of counties adjacent to Sevier County. Final preference is given to students from any East Tennessee County. Students who held this award in a previous year shall have a preference in the selection procedure in subsequent years with all other things being equal.
Charles A. Noone Memorial Fund
This scholarship will be awarded to a male and female incoming freshman who reside in Hamilton County (resident for at least 2 yrs). The student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students could be eligible to receive this scholarship for four (4) consecutive years by maintaining scholarship requirements.
One half of this scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in Human Resource Management in the School of Business and the other half to a student majoring Industrial Organizational Psychology in the College of Arts & Sciences. Culpepper Family Scholarship
The scholarship will be awarded to a full time student who has a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and demonstrates financial need in the broadest sense. First consideration for this award will go to students majoring in Business Administration and/or History. Student must maintain a 2.5 GPA or above to retain the scholarship in subsequent years.
Cyril and Imogen Burgner Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to an applicant who shows satisfactory academic and financial needs. The recipient should have a 3.0 GPA and be a Tyner Academy graduate.
David A. Knauff Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of Ooltewah High School who has a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrates financial need.
David M. Brammer Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who is an active member of Sigma Chi and has been enrolled at UTC for at least one full year. Please contact your chapter president for more information.
David M. Key Memorial Fund
This scholarship will be awarded to UTC students residing in the Chattanooga area with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

This scholarship will be awarded to students who have a satisfactory academic record and demonstrated financial need. Preference will go to students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences. This scholarship will be awarded to a full time student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrates financial need.
Douglas Gumerman/HEIL Trailer International Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student who majors in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or Environmental Sciences. Eligible candidates need a minimum GPA of 2.5 and should show evidence of student leadership. Demonstrates financial need may be considered. Preference will be given to children of HEIL Company Employees. A student who held this award in a previous year shall have a preference in the selection procedures in subsequent years.

Earl W., Sr., & Viva H. Winger Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has completed at least one year of successful coursework at UTC, is classified as a sophomore or higher and is degree-seeking in good standing with at least a 3.00 overall GPA. Preference will be given to student-veterans in the following majors (listed in order of preference as well):

Edwin B. Duckett, Jr. Scholarship
The scholarship will be awarded to a full time student who has a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and demonstrates financial need. First consideration for this award will go to students majoring in Engineering.
Eleanor M. Hodges Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full time student who has a minimum GPA of 3.0 and who demonstrates financial need. Preference will be given to students who graduated from East Ridge High School. A student who held this award in a previous year shall have preference in the selection procedures in subsequent years.
Elizabeth and W. Roy Meyers Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student who has a minimum GPA of 3.0 while majoring in business, engineering, education, nursing or a science-focused liberal arts. Selected students must submit a resume and a one-page essay stating why this scholarship is important to them.
Elizabeth Dalton and Kappa Delta Pi Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to Education majors who plan to become teachers. A student who held this award in a previous year shall have preference in the selection procedures in subsequent years.
Elizabeth Patten Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full time student with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference will go to local students.
Estes Kefauver Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to incoming freshman students regardless of their course of study. Consideration is given to financial need of recipients. Students awarded this scholarship shall have demonstrated successful academic performance.
Falk, Traylor and Davis Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and who demonstrates financial need.
Fincannon Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a divorced or widowed female student. Part and full-time, graduate and undergraduate students will be considered. Preference will be given to Tennessee residents. A student who held the award in a previous year will also have preference over others in subsequent years.

Frost Family Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all undergraduate, degree-seeking students who are either veterans, dependent of a veteran, dependent of a first responder, or a UTC ROTC Cadet. Selected students must enroll full-time in an undergraduate degree program. Candidates must have at the minimum an overall UTC cumulative GPA of 2.500 (or in the case of entering first-time freshmen, a high school GPA of 2.500) at the time of application review. Applicants Must Submit their online scholarship application by April 1 for the Next Academic Year.
Gene H. Kistler Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student who is a declared Pre-Medical major, and who has a greater than or equal to a 3.0 GPA.
George R. West Jr. Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to students who are members of the UTC Golf Team. Please contact UTC Athletics for information on athletic scholarships.
George S. and Norma L. McCarty Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student who has demonstrated financial need. Candidates must have graduated from a public high school in Hamilton County. A student who held this award in a previous year shall have a preference in the selection procedures in subsequent years.
Gertrude J. Witt Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrated financial need. Special consideration will be given to students from a single parent home and those who have a sibling(s) attending college at the same time. Students receiving the scholarship in one year will receive preference in subsequent, assuming all other conditions are met.
Engineer, engineering, teacher, Teacher Education Program, education, teaching
This scholarship is offered through the generosity of Mario and Grace Charles. An eligible candidate must 1) Be a Full-Time UTC student during the award period (minimum of 12 credit hours each semester); 2) Major in Education (must be admitted to the Teacher Education Program or graduate students admitted to an education program that includes certification); 3) Have a minimum 3.5 GPA and completed at least 30 hours at UTC (AP credit from high school is included). This scholarship will be awarded to a full time student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrated financial need. This student will also be a resident of Chattanooga or Hamilton County. Kim Hudson White Scholarship

This scholarship is available to dependent children of full-time employees at the Komatsu America Corp's Chattanooga Manufacturing Operations. Applicants must be enrolled full-time and must meet the requirements for the Tennessee Education Lottery HOPE Scholarship. Those requirements for entering freshman are either a 21 composite score on the ACT, or a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0. This scholarship will be awarded to a student from Southeast TN or North GA who demonstrates financial need.
This scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student approved to participate in the Undergraduate Research Program in Chemistry, or a future iteration of this program, and must complete research in one or more areas of Chemistry. The scholarship will be available for chemistry majors who have been selected to participate with chemistry faculty in an upcoming undergraduate research program. UCF Sgt. David Alex Stephens Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student who is either on current active duty with one of the United States Military branches or has previously received an honorable (or general discharge under honorable conditions). A student's enrollment in the G.I. Bill is not required. Eligible students must have at least a 3.00 GPA and demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA. Recipients are encouraged to engage with the Student Veteran's Organization (SVO) at UTC and with other veterans in the University family and Chattanooga community as much as possible but not to the detriment of academic performance.

UCF Southeast Bank Scholarship
Beginning Fall22 and thereafter, this scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who plans to attend UTC immediately following their high school graduation. *Only high school seniors from the following TN counties will be considered - Bradley, Hamilton, Knox, Loudon, McMinn, Meigs, Putnam and Rhea. The student must be admitted into a degree program and demonstrate financial need (as determined by the FAFSA). The student must attend full-time at UTC for the fall and spring semesters. Students with a proven record of community service, leadership and academic achievements will be given priority consideration.

UTAA Legacy Scholarship
This one-year scholarship will be awarded to a first-time freshman who is the child/stepchild or grandchild/step-grandchild of a degree-holding graduate from one of the UT campuses (Knoxville, Chattanooga, Martin, UT-Health Science Center). Recipients must have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA and a minimum 21 ACT composite score (980 SAT). The scholarship will be available to both in-state and out-of-state students.

UTC Legacy Scholarship
This one-year scholarship will be awarded to a first-time freshman who is the child/stepchild, grandchild/step-grandchild, niece/nephew, or brother/sister of a degree-holding graduate from the University of Chattanooga or UT-Chattanooga. Candidates must have at least a 2.75 high school GPA, a 21 ACT composite score, and demonstrate engagement in extracurricular activities & community service. The student's financial need may also be considered. This scholarship will be available to both in-state and out-of-state students.
UTC Scholars Fund
This scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated outstanding achievement and promise in high school. Required high school minimum GPA is a 3.25.
UTFI Harold & Amy Stiles Wrestling Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to students who are members of UTC's Wrestling team and graduates of an East TN High School. Preference will be given to students in The College of Busniess and The College of Engineering and Computer Science. Students will also need to be in good standing with the University and Wrestling Team. A student holding the scholarship in previous years shall have preference in subsequent years. W. Max and Margaret Finley Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student, 21 years of age or older, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrated financial need. Preference will first go to single parents, then to female students, then to students with declared majors within the School of Business Administration, then to a student from Hamilton County and the greater Chattanooga area including Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama. A student receiving this scholarship in one year shall have a preference in subsequent years.

This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has a minimum GPA of 3.0 and who demonstrates financial need. First preference will go to students who residing in the Hamilton County and Sequatchie County areas of Walden's Ridge (including Signal Mountain). A student awarded this scholarship in previous years shall have preference in the selection procedures in subsequent years all other things equal.

This scholarship is awarded to a first-time freshman majoring in Chemistry or Physics. The awards are renewable over a four-year period. An undergraduate degree in Chemistry or Physics is ideal for anyone with an interest in research, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, forensics, industry, teaching, patent law, environmental issues, materials, or other science and technology-related areas. Eligible students must 1) complete a course in high school Chemistry or Physics with an A or B; 2) attain a high school grade point average of 3.5 or above; 3) have a composite score of 26 or above on the ACT exam (or SAT equivalent), and 4) declare Chemistry or Physics as their major at UTC. Wheland Foundry Scholarship
This scholarship is restricted to graduates of Howard School of Academics & Technology. The student awarded this scholarship must demonstrate successful academic performance and/or financial need. A student who held the award in previous years will have preference in the selection procedure in subsequent years. The recipient must maintain a 2.5 GPA overall and a 3.0 GPA in his/her major subjects.
William and Susan Pettway Gift
This scholarship will be awarded to a member of the UTC Football Team. Preference will be given to members who hold the position of offensive/defensive tackle. This scholarship will be awarded only to incoming freshmen admitted to the Brock Scholars Program.
